WATCH | Tiger Woods injured in single-car accident in Los Angeles

February 23, 2021: Early Tuesday morning, one of the greatest golfers in the world was involved in a rollover crash in Los Angeles.

“Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries,” Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg said Tuesday afternoon. “He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support.”

The vehicle sustained major damage and EMS workers and the sheriff’s department needed “jaws of life” to free him from his SUV.

Los Angles Sheriff’s Department Lt. Michael White told reporters the injuries are non-life-threatening and he was being treated for “moderate to critical” injuries.

It is unclear what caused the accident. Police said that they are investigating.

This past Sunday, Woods made his first public appearance since undergoing back surgery last month in an interview with CBS’ Jim Nantz.

Woods said he still was a little stiff after a procedure to remove a disc fragment that was pinching a nerve in his back.

  1. he hit something HEAD ON. He's driving a car way better than you and I so I'm sure the front and SIDE air bags saved him

  2. Hope tiger will be okay and our blessings are with him and his family. People don't speculate because as of now it's only a car crash, so don't assume and just let the facts come out. His career on him that.
